 Kamanza-cho“Cho-ie” Renovation Begins Flooring and Wall from Earlier Remodeling Dismantled Damaged Post and Beams Inspected Full-scale renovation work began on June 15 (Tue). Original posts, beams, walls, and other structural elements were inspected for damage. Flooring on the first floor and one wall from a previous remodeling were removed and exposed structural elements were inspected to determine how renovation would proceed. Renovation foremen assembled on June 25 (Fri) for discussions and former “Cho-ie” resident, Mr. Kato, was also present to talk about his experiences living in the house.
